Rector

He graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1988 and 1992, respectively. In 1993, he started his PhD studies at Kocaeli University and completed his PhD studies at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Robotics Department in 1996.

He worked as an academician at Istanbul Technical, Sakarya, Kırıkkale and Yüzüncü Yıl Universities. He worked as a ‘Post-Doctorate’ and ‘Visiting Professor’ at Ohio-State University in the USA. In 2003, he became an Associate Professor. As of September 09, 2008, he was appointed as the Founding Rector of Muş Alparslan University and served as Rector for two terms.

He served as the Chairman of YÖK Equivalency Commission, YÖK Engineering-Science Sciences Associate Professorship Criteria Determination Commission and ÜAK Professional Titles Determination Commission. As of January 17, 2024, he was appointed as Professor at Haliç University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is currently serving as the Rector of Haliç University.

He evaluated his scientific studies with more than 60 publications at the international level. He has participated in many panels and conferences as a speaker and manager. He serves on the ‘Editorial Referee Board’ of the ‘IEEE Industry Applications Society’ journal (Electrical Machinery Section). He speaks English. He is married and has four children.
