The Research and Application Center of Ataturk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution of Haliç University was established on 7 June, 2001 pursuant to sub-clause 2 of clause (d) of article 7 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 in order to:

Educate young people in the light of Kemalist thought, Atatürk's principles and reforms and refresh the memory of lecturers on these subjects

Ensure that research and developments related to Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History are carried out

Create a specialized library and archive on Atatürk's Principles and History of Revolution

Organize conferences, seminars and courses and all kinds of other scientific meetings and congresses on Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History and, publish books and articles

Assist lecturers at all levels who teach Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History Courses and encourage knowledge sharing and scientific solidarity among them

Cooperate with national and international research and education institutions and experts in the field in order to realize the aims and duties of the Center.
