The Equivalence Certificate ( Example) The Equivalence Certificate is a document issued by the Turkish Ministry of Education or the Embassies from your country and it proves your education is equivalent to education in Türkiye. It must be submitted within the period determined by the Council of Education, YÖK.*
(*) There is no requirement for an equivalence certificate fro foreign students who completed their high school education in high schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education of Türkiye.

Residence Permit ( Example)
- Foreigners who shall attend an associate, undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate programme or receive education for speciality in medicine (TUS) or in dentistry (DUS) are issued residence permits.
- After registration, the student must apply for residence to the International Office Directorate (After the application, students are generally given Residence Permit within a minimum period of 1 month to a maximum of 90 days, and this process may differ depending on the passport.)
- International students are required to apply for extention 60 days before the residence permit validity date expires.
- Residence permit applications are legally finalize within 90 days. Students whose process is completed can receive their Residence Permit Cards from the Student Affairs Office.
The Residence Permit process mentioned above is the responsibility of the student.
The above mentioned documents should be submitted within the document completion period for international students which determined by the Council of Higher Education, YÖK.
