Photography gains popularity day by day as it brings together aesthetics, art and communication. As the photography club, we aim to introduce basic photography principles and different photography fields, and to help members develop their own expressions.
At the beginning, by being divided into small groups accompanied by a consultant and by giving main information about “Basic Photography"; We start learning photography through lessons on composition, use of light and camera settings. After the trainings, we organize city tours in certain periods. On trips; we try various techniques such as landscape, nature photography, long exposure. With these trips, we aim to grasp the street photography and the communication language of the street as well as putting the acquired theoretical knowledge into practice. In addition, we organize interviews with well-known persons from various fields such as studio, food photography and fashion photography through Haliç Fashion Club in order to help our members to get an idea about their industry experiences. In this way, we aim for members to discover the area where they can express themselves best.
We evaluate the progress made by doing a photo reading activity on the photos taken after the trips. Toward the end of the year, we make a general evaluation of the photographs taken during the year and open an exhibition on our campus. In this way, we both reap the fruits of the whole year and leave a pleasant memory behind. We invite everyone to our club in this adventure where we follow the light with the power of photography that immortalizes the moment.
