  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​A- ​ Summer Term Courses and Applications
1. Since the summer semester lasts for seven weeks, the course load is equal to twice the normal weekly course load.
 
2. All courses (including English Preparatory School) and exams (midterm and final exams) will be held face to face. ING102, TDB102, GŞ100, TBT100, ATA102, HIS102, HLC101, HLC102, OHS100, OHS101 and ISG100 courses and Pedagogical Education Formation courses and exams will be held online.
 
3. In summer school, students can register for a maximum of three courses and/or a maximum of 15 ECTS, firstly they need to take the courses they have to repeat. Students who graduate with the course they will take at the end of summer school will be able to take an additional course or a course of 5 ECTS. The graduation status of the student will be determined by the Student Affairs Office.
 
4. Courses will not be opened in summer school except for ING102, TDB102, GRS100, TBT100, ATA102, HIS102, HLC101, HLC102, OHS100, OHS101 and OHS100 courses in the Faculty of Medicine.
 
5. No registration will be made for overlapping courses.
 
6. All compulsory courses and elective courses to be determined by the Faculties/Directors will be offered as long as they are preferred by at least five students. If the number of students is less than five, the courses will be closed.
 
7. In order for the student to take a course from another university, they will be able to choose a course from another university with the decision of the relevant Faculty/Vocational School board of directors if they first register for the course in their own department and the course is not offered at Haliç University.
 
8. The courses of students who choose summer school courses from other Universities and continue without registering for the course at Haliç University and without obtaining the approval of the relevant Faculty/School/Vocational School board of directors will not be accepted and their transcripts after the training (even if a passing grade is obtained) will not be processed in OBS.
 
9. English Preparatory School students will apply to the English Preparatory School Directorate in order to register for the modules to be opened in the summer term.
 
10. Course ECTS fees; 675 TL (One ECTS) for associate degree courses and 1070 TL for undergraduate courses (One ECTS). For international students, it is $50 (One ECTS) for associate degree courses and $75 (One ECTS) for undergraduate courses. Fee will be paid in return for the value obtained by dividing the number of ECTS of the practice courses given outside the university by two (if the number of ECTS for the practice course is 15, the number of ECTS to be paid will be 7.5 ECTS).
 
11. The module fee for the English Preparatory School is 12.​500 TL, and for international students it is $750.
 
12. No scholarships or discounts are applied to summer school fees. And there is no refund for any reason. However, if the chosen course is not opened, the amount of the relevant course is refunded. If none of the courses are opened, the entire tuition fee is refunded.
 
13. Students who do not take the summer school exam or fail the exam are not entitled to another exam. A student who fails the summer school exam must take the failed course in the next term when the course is opened.
 
14. For students enrolled in summer school; The time spent in summer school is not taken into account in the calculation of the maximum education period.
 
15. If the student does not exceed the maximum period of study in the spring semester of the academic year in which they are registered, they can benefit from student rights; If the student has exceeded the maximum period of study, they cannot benefit from student rights even if they enroll in summer school.
 
16. At the summer school;
a) in the transcript; A student with a GPA above 2.00 or 2.00 can choose a maximum of 5 courses not exceed 15 ECTS, from the course/courses with FF letter grades and/or not taking any courses they have provided.
b) in the transcript; A student with a GPA below 2.00 can choose a maximum of 5 courses not exceed 15 ECTS, from the course/courses for which they received a letter grade of FF, and from the course/courses for which they received a conditionally passed DC and DD letter grade and from the course/courses they receive warning or dicipline issue.

  • ​​​​​C- Students who are not students of our university but want to take courses from our university in the summer term​

1.​​Students should fill in the "Course Registration Form" for the courses they want to take from the announced curriculum, and students should complete the payment and submit the form with the receipt to the relevant faculty.

2. Course registrations will be made by the Student Affairs Office with the decision of the relevant Faculty Administrative Board. Students must have completed their financial obligations in order to register for a course.

3.​ Course ECTS fees; 675 TL (One ECTS) for associate degree courses and 1070 TL (One ECTS) for undergraduate courses. For international students, it is $50 (One ECTS) for associate degree courses and $75 (One ECTS) for undergraduate courses.
