In accordance with the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Level Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer and the Haliç University Horizontal Transfer Directive, in the 2023-2024 Academic Fall Semester, through intra-institutional horizontal transfer and double major-minor Student applications will be accepted.

SUCCESS-BASED INTRA-INSTITUTIONAL TRANSFER APPLICATION CONDITIONS

            a) Horizontal transfer can be made to equivalent level diploma programs within a faculty, college, conservatory or vocational school or within the same university, within the quotas determined by the relevant board of directors.

            b) For the preparatory class of associate degree and undergraduate diploma programs; Horizontal transfer cannot be made to the first semester and last semester of associate degree programs, or to the first two semesters and last two semesters of bachelor's degree programs.

            c) In order to apply for a horizontal transfer between diploma programs that accept students at the same level within the university, the central placement score received by the student in the type of score valid for the diploma program he wants to pass as of the year in which he took the central exam must be at the highest level of the diploma programs of other universities in the country equivalent to the diploma program he wants to pass. The condition is that it should not be less than the low base score.

            d) Having suspended registration does not constitute an obstacle to benefiting from the right to horizontal transfer.

            e) In transferring to a diploma program that accepts students with a special aptitude test, success in the aptitude test is required, among other conditions.

            f) Applications are evaluated by the relevant unit within the framework of the announced conditions. Applications of candidates who do not meet the conditions will be rejected.

            g) Conversion tables determined by the Higher Education Executive Board are used in converting the success grades obtained according to the quadruple or hundredth system.

 

DOUBLE MAJOR-MINOR APPLICATION CONDITIONS

            a) Students can apply for a double major diploma program at the earliest at the beginning of the third semester and at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester of the undergraduate program they are registered in, and for a minor program at the earliest at the beginning of the third semester and at the latest at the beginning of the sixth semester of the undergraduate program they are registered in.

            b) In order to apply for the Double Major program, undergraduate students must have a GPA of at least 2.72 out of 4.00 in the major diploma program, be in the top 20% of the success ranking in the relevant class of the major diploma program, and have successfully completed all the courses taken in the major diploma program until that semester. must be.

            c) Students whose overall grade point average in the major diploma program is at least 2.72 out of 4 for undergraduate programs, but who are not in the top 20% of the success ranking in the relevant class of the major diploma program; They can apply provided that they have the base score of the double major program in the year they are accepted to the university.

            d) In order to apply for a minor program, undergraduate students must have a GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 in the major program and have successfully completed all the credit courses they have taken in their undergraduate program until that semester.

 

In addition to the application conditions stated above, candidates must meet the success rankings specified below for the relevant programs.

Teaching programs: The success requirement is to be at least 800,000th in the relevant Score Type.

For architecture undergraduate programs: The success requirement is to be ranked at least 250,000th (SAY).

For engineering undergraduate programs: The success requirement is to be ranked at least 300,000th (SAY).

For the medical undergraduate program: The minimum success requirement is to be ranked in the 50,000th position (SAY).

 

English Proficiency requirements

            Students who study in Turkish programs and apply for a double major/minor in an English program and who have not successfully completed the optional English preparatory program or who do not have an English proficiency certificate accepted by the Senate must get sufficient scores in the English Proficiency exam to be held by the School of Foreign Languages.

            International students who study in English programs and apply for a double major/minor in a Turkish program and do not have a TÖMER B2 level certificate must get sufficient points in the Turkish Proficiency Exam.

The calendar for internal transfer and double major-minor application, announcement and registration dates is as follows.

Application Dates: Monday, 11 September 2023 – Friday, 15 September 2023

Announcement of Results on the Website Wednesday, September 27, 2023

Registration Dates (Main) Thursday, September 28, 2023 – Wednesday, October 4, 2023

Registration Dates (Reserve) Thursday, October 5, 2023 – Friday, October 6, 2023

a) Student Certificate

b) Transcript / Grade Status Certificate

c) ÖSYM Result Document (A document showing that you have been placed at the university)

d) ÖSYM Result Document (Your score document announced by ÖSYM before your placement and containing all your score types)

e) English Language Proficiency Certificate (for applications to English departments) One of the English proficiency documents accepted by the Senate of our University for students applying for internal transfer and double major-minor programs to English departments.
