Haliç University School of Physical Education and Sports put into service on the date of 22.05.2028. The aim of our School of Physical Education and Sports is to provide services and technology in this field for the benefit of society by training professionals and educators in the field of sports sciences who are trained with contemporary approaches and methods based on science and technology, competent in the field of profession, respectful to universal and cultural values, and oriented to the needs of our country.
Our school consists of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Coaching Education, Sports Management, Sports Management (English) and Recreation departments. There are also master's and doctoral programs for students who want to continue their academic careers.
Our students specialize in their fields by taking courses such as Anatomy, Sports Physiology, Physical Activity and Health, Sports Biomechanics, Sports Psychology, Motor Control, Movement and Training Science, Sports History, Sports Sociology, Physical Education, Recreation, Sports Management, Sports Business, Sports Marketing, Sports Philosophy. It improves the quality of education day by day with its distinguished academic staff and physical conditions.
Haliç University School of Physical Education and Sports has had a wide academic staff and research area in all subjects within the multidisciplinary structure of sports sciences in fourteen years.
Haliç University School of Physical Education and Sports is equipped to carry out this education in a modern and efficient manner in accordance with the needs of the day with its current academic staff, sports facilities, performance laboratory, sports biomechanics laboratory, exercise and sports psychology laboratory and physical spaces.
Our sports facilities such as indoor sports hall, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, gymnastics hall, dance hall, archery hall are used in our courses. In addition, our students are offered experience and internship opportunities in sports practices with our external stakeholders.
It is important for our students to do education and internship in the sector. Collaborations are made with neighboring schools, sports clubs, municipalities, state institutions and organizations for interships and professional field practices in our school.
In order that our students can prepare for the professional field during their undergraduate education, our university also has a training program in the sector. In addition, within the scope of Erasmus, our students have the opportunity to study and intern abroad and are offered opportunities for foreign language and professional experience.
Our mission is to educate individuals who are equipped with contemporary knowledge in line with Atatürk's principles and reforms, who are committed to their values, dynamic, self-confident, self-confident, universal, researcher, follower of technological developments, innovative, sharing, participatory, original and aesthetic values as well as providing a contemporary sports education; to train individuals who aim to establish, spread and popularize sports culture, to train highly qualified physical education and sports teachers, coaches, recreation specialists and sports administrators who make sports planning/implementation according to the needs of the environment and society in their field, and who can reflect the knowledge and skills they have gained into practice.
The aim of our school is to be an educational institution that follows/leads the effects of physical education and sports on the individual and society in the direction of scientific bases with the quality of education and research, raising individuals who are scientific thinkers, participatory, innovative, respectful to human rights, sharing, and in accordance with universal conditions.
