  • ​​​​​​​​What is Haliç University TRAINING​​ I​N SECTOR PROGRAM (SEP)?
TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM is applied skill training based on working in a workplace during the education of Haliç University associate and undergraduate program students. Apart from classroom / laboratory / workshop courses, the program is an education model designed jointly with the relevant institution, managed together and applied in the workplace​.

  • ​​​​What are the conditions for students who are considering participating in Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?​

For students who intend to participate in the Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM, they must have a minimum 2.00 GPA, have completed at least 70 ECTS credits, and have successfully completed the first and second year courses according to the 27th article of the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM.​​


  • ​​​​Why should I attend Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM as a student?
Participation of the Haliç University student to the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM will provide the following gains:
* Having experience of making sense of the knowledge received at the university within the sector, increasing knowledge and experience with different learning methods,
* Gaining early experience in interacting with the sector,
* Early creation of career planning by gaining the basis for future work and specialization,
* Current subject determination, expert and material support from the sector for the Graduation Project to be held in the last year,
* Obtaining TRAINING PROGRAM CERTIFICATE IN SECTOR to present to companies that will apply after graduation.​

  • ​​​​How long does the student work in the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?​
In the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM, each semester is 14 weeks; students can work during the fall and spring semesters (1 to 2.5 days according to the curriculum - Saturday half day), at least 10 hours a week for a total of 140 hours or more and in the summer semester at least 140 hours up to 5 days a week.​​

  • ​​​​Is there a requirement for the student to attend the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?
Students do not have the right to leave during the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM. In the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM, the student must comply with the working hours of the company. The medical report is not considered an excuse for absence from the workplace. Even if the student receives a report, if the duration of absenteeism exceeds 20% of the education period in the sector, the student is considered unsuccessful due to absenteeism. Education in the Sector Training of the student who does not come to work for more than 3 days without permission or excuse is immediately terminated and the situation is notified by the workplace to the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR.​

  • ​​​​As a Haliç University student, how can I apply to Haliç University's TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?
If you click on CENTERS in the upper right corner of the main page of the Haliç University website, the text “TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM" appears. Clicking on GO TO DETAIL under this article opens the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM page. When you have a Job Position TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM, click the STUDENT APPLICATION FORM from the menu on the right of the page that opens and enter your information, the process starts. The student whose application is evaluated by the relevant Faculty / Directorate is named as Prospective Student in TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM.​

  • ​​​​How will the student selection process be in TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?​
TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM COORDINATORSHIP initiates the matching process for the students who have the necessary conditions and are approved by the relevant Faculty / Directorate. The COORDINATORSHIP, which sends an e-mail to the students, asks them to make a choice within 5 days (in case of more than one company). Listing the preferences, the COORDINATORSHIP gives 7 days to select a maximum of 5 students by sending an e-mail to the requested companies. Companies interview a maximum of 5 students and send the list of students they want to work with to the COORDINATORSHIP. The COORDINATORSHIP informs the selected students about the situation again by e-mail. The selected student fills in the APPENDIX-6 SEP Form (3 copies) and gets it approved by the relevant Faculty / Directorate of which he / she is a student and the Accounting Department on the 5th floor of Block A, together with the necessary documents. Later, the APPENDIX-6 SEP Forms are approved by the relevant company. Before starting TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM, the student participates in the short-term Adaptation Program of TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM. The process begins by signing the APPENDIX -5 SEP Company Student Application Agreement (2 copies) between the relevant company and the student.

  • ​​​​Will an employment contract be signed between the student and the company?
APPENDIX-5 SEP Company Student Application Agreement (2 copies) will be signed between the student and the company. The company may add additional articles to the contract when necessary according to its field of work and procedures (fee, etc.).​

  • ​​​​When I join TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM as a student, will my insurance be started and my insurance premium paid?​
The insurance transactions of the student and the payment of insurance premiums will be made by Haliç University in accordance with the Vocational Education Law No. 3308.​
  • ​​​​Even if I am a student, I will work actively in TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM. Will any fees be paid to me?
​In accordance with the 25th article of the Vocational Education Law numbered 3308, the company is obliged to pay the trainee fee for the number of days the student has worked. In addition, the company is required to provide lunch to the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM student, and to use the shuttle service for transportation if any.​

  • ​​​​Will companies participating in the Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM make a business contract with students in TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?
Companies participating in the Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM sign the APPENDIX-5 SEP Firm Student Application Agreement (2 copies), which is prepared within the framework of the Cooperation Protocol (Document) and determines the obligations of the institution and the student. The company may add additional articles to the contract when necessary according to its field of work and procedures (fee, etc.).​

  • ​​​​Will the students participating in the Haliç University TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM prepare an evaluation report after the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM?
TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM Students who do not have an internship in their Department / Program prepare APPENDIX -8 SEP Student Report at the end of the Training and get it approved by the company's Training Representative and submit it to the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM COORDINATOR in print and electronically until the course start date of the following semester. TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM COORDINATORSHIP transmits the report to the related Department / Program. The student verbally presents and defends his / her report in front of the Jury of TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM in the Department / Program. Education grades in TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM are notified to the Faculties / Schools by the Departments / Programs at the latest until the end of the add-delete period.​

  • ​​​​As a student, can I request a relocation based on valid reasons at the end of the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM matching process or after the implementation?

Students can request a relocation based on valid reasons at the end of the TRAINING IN SECTOR PROGRAM matching process or after the implementation begins. The stu​dent can change the institution at most once. However, it may change the institution more than once in an application period due to reasons not caused by the student and in compulsory situations.​
