Our Purpose
The Haliç University Mathematics Club aims to bring together undergraduate students with expert mathematicians and mathematics graduates working in various professional fields. The objectives of this club include fostering mathematical thinking among our members, introducing the history of mathematics, and using tools that promote communication and interaction among department students. Additionally, we aim to organize events that answer questions such as where mathematics is used and how it appears in daily life, as well as explore the relationship between mathematics and other branches of science and technology. Our goal is to contribute to the personal development of our members and make it easier for them to transition into their professional careers.
Our Mission
To contribute to the personal development of our members by organizing activities that help them understand the harmony between mathematics and evolving technologies, without limiting them to the theoretical knowledge they learn in mathematics.
To ensure that our members gain insight into the technologies they can apply the knowledge they acquire in the field of mathematics after entering the workforce.
Through the activities it organizes, the Mathematics Club aims not only to be a student club but also to build a bridge between its members and the business world, helping members gain personal traits such as team spirit, leadership, and teamwork skills that are essential in today's world.
Our Vision
- To be a club that not only follows but also adapts to today's rapidly evolving technologies and creates programs that integrate these technologies with mathematics,
- That makes mathematics enjoyable for everyone,
- That organizes conferences where useful mathematical knowledge is shared, which can be applied to daily life by all members,
- And that establishes healthy communication with clubs in our own university as well as in other universities, maintaining a two-way flow of knowledge and experience.
