Haliç University Faculty of Sports Sciences students continue to add new achievements to their record with outstanding performances on the international stage. Competing in the 12th International Turkey Open Taekwondo Tournament, held in Antalya from February 8-16, 2025, with the participation of approximately 3,000 athletes from 60 countries, our students achieved remarkable results.

Elif Sude Akgül, a first-year student in the Coaching Education Department, became the champion in the women's 49 kg category by winning the gold medal, while Berkay Erer secured first place in the men's 68 kg category. Aykut Taşgın, a third-year student in the Recreation Department, claimed the silver medal in the poomsae category, finishing the tournament in second place.

Our students, who showed outstanding performance in the championship, once again proved the success of Haliç University in the field of sports. In their post-tournament statements, they expressed that these achievements serve as great motivation and that they will continue to train with determination.
