The Student Gathering, organized by the Student Council, took place with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç, our Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sami Şener, and our students.
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç emphasized the role of the Student Council as a bridge within the university, stating, "While conveying your demands, I recommend focusing on activities that will contribute to your professional development and career. In this regard, we will support your activities by providing the appropriate budget. Academically, we are also taking an important step for you. We are transitioning to an interdepartmental course pool system. We will continue to work to enhance the quality of education and better prepare you for the future. Additionally, we are working on practical training for our students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering, aiming to send them into the field.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sami Şener, mentioned that they have created an open communication environment to facilitate students in expressing their demands more easily. Prof. Dr. Şener stated, "We are working to better coordinate the academic, administrative, and student aspects of our university. With the involvement of the Student Council, things will proceed in a more systematic manner. You can share your suggestions and complaints with us by actively using the university's feedback system. Together, we will take Haliç University to greater academic heights."
The President of the Student Council, Sena Keskin Karataş, expressed, "As the Student Council, we are very excited to be here. Our goal is to be the voice of the students and, by collaborating with the university administration, to create a better environment for all of us."
The event concluded with students expressing their feedback and expectations.
