Dr. Benil Kıstak Altan, a faculty member of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at our university, achieved significant success at the International Masters Long Distance Swimming Championship held in Edirne from February 7-9, 2025. Altan broke the Turkish record and became the champion of the competition, drawing attention with her outstanding performance.
Throughout the competition, Altan won 6 gold and 2 silver medals, totaling 8 medals, and received great admiration for his performance. As a successful athlete who will represent Turkiye on the international stage, she earned the right to participate in the "World Aquatics" World Masters Championship, which will take place in Singapore from July 26 to August 22, 2025.
We congratulate Dr. Benil Kıstak Altan, our esteemed academic, on this remarkable achievement and wish her the best of luck at the upcoming championship in Singapore.
