The Deanery of Student Affairs at Haliç University has been operating since October 2024. The office works primarily on resolving problems and addressing communication gaps between students and academic units, as well as between students and various administrative departments across the university.

Due to the increasing number of student-related requests and demands addressed to the University Rectorate, the Deanery’s plays an active role in facilitating communication between students, academic staff and administrative units. It follows up on relevant issues, identifies and eliminates information or procedural deficiencies and contributes to effective solutions through direct contact and dialogue.

During the reporting period, the university launched a new “Complaints, Requests  and Suggestions” module within the digital university system. This platform allows students and academic staff to communicate their needs and expectations more efficiently and manage their requests online.

Taking into consideration the challenges faced by both local and international students particularly in obtaining accurate information and maintaining effective communication with academic and administrative units the office is developing a “Questions and Answers” system. This initiative aims to provide standardized and ready-to-access responses to frequently asked queries and support the establishment of a comprehensive student information platform.

Functioning as a Center for Communication and Solutions within the university, the Deanery of Student Affairs has become a major point of contact for many students seeking assistance and resolution to various concerns. Students have expressed high levels of satisfaction with the office’s engagement and its proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Deanary maintains close collaboration with the University Student Council and aims to continue working in cooperation and coordination with Student Societies in the coming academic year.

Additionally, under the instruction of the Rector, preparations have begun for the establishment of a new Social and Psychological Guidance Center within the Deanery. Through this center, the university intends to implement more effective scholarly and socio-psychological initiatives addressing students’ personal challenges and developmental needs.
