The Principal Investigator (PI) submits the project along with the required documents to the BAP Unit and sends the documents via email to bap@halic.edu.tr

The BAP Coordination Office conducts a preliminary review of the project and assigns an application number.

For Non-Comprehensive Research Projects, the BAP Coordination Office forwards the project to the Preliminary Evaluation Committee for assessment; the committee completes the evaluation form and returns it to the BAP Unit.

For Scientific Meeting Organization Support Projects, a permission letter from the relevant Faculty/School/ Vocational School is required.

For Non-Comprehensive Research Projects and Scientific Meeting Organization Support Projects:

If the Preliminary Evaluation Committee rejects the project, the rationale is communicated to the BAP Unit.

If accepted, the decision is further evaluated by the BAP Commission.

For Comprehensive Research Projects, the BAP Unit forwards the project to the relevant Preliminary Evaluation Committee.

The Preliminary Evaluation Committee forwards the project to external reviewers, and the reviewers complete their evaluation forms.

The Preliminary Evaluation Committee assesses the reviewers’ feedback.

If the Preliminary Evaluation Committee rejects the project, the rationale is communicated to the BAP Unit.

If the Preliminary Evaluation Committee accepts the project, the decision is further evaluated by the BAP Commission.

For all projects, the BAP Commission decides on approval or rejection.

The PI is notified of the project’s acceptance or rejection.

If approved, the project contract is signed, and the project commencement process begins.

A progress report is submitted every six months.

The final report is submitted to the BAP Commission.

The BAP Commission evaluates the project outcome based on submitted reports.

Publication of the project results.

Project closure and completion of all related procedures.
