Applications for the Minor Program are submitted to the relevant faculty or vocational school within the dates announced in the academic calendar, accompanied by the application form and transcript. (Forms can be obtained from the faculty or vocational school to which the student is applying.)

A student may apply for the Minor Program no earlier than the third semester and no later than the sixth semester of their major undergraduate program.

To be eligible, the student must have successfully completed all credited courses in the major program up to the semester of application and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 out of 4.00.

Candidates applying to Haliç University programs that require special aptitude must take and pass the special aptitude examination conducted by the respective program.

Applications that meet the eligibility criteria are processed by the relevant Deanery of Faculty or Directorate of Vocational School. Admission becomes final upon the recommendation of the department applied to and the approval of the relevant Faculty or Vocational School Administrative Board.

A student whose enrollment in a Minor Program has been terminated cannot reapply to the same program. Students enrolled in a Minor Program may apply to another minor program only after officially withdrawing from their current one.

To continue in the Minor Program, a student’s GPA in the major program must be at least 2.30 out of 4.00. A student whose GPA falls below this threshold will have their enrollment in the Minor Program canceled.

Courses successfully completed in the Minor Program that are not counted toward the major program are included in the student’s transcript and diploma supplement but are not calculated in the cumulative GPA.
