Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes envisage cooperation for balanced development among regions located along the common borders of EU Member States, between border regions of EU Member States and third countries sharing borders with the EU, as well as among regions within the Union itself. As one of the instruments of both the EU Regional Policy and the European Neighbourhood Policy, the aim of Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes is to support economic and social development–oriented cooperation in border regions.
Within the scope of Cross-Border Cooperation, our country participates in the Interreg Bulgaria–Türkiye IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme and the ENI Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Programme. In addition to these two programmes, Türkiye has, for the first time during the 2021–2027 period, become eligible to benefit from the Interreg NEXT Mediterranean Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Programme. You may access the relevant regional fund programmes below.
