Mission

To educate qualified, innovative individuals who embrace universal values at the graduate level; to contribute to societal development by encouraging scientific research and production; and to provide a contemporary, ethical, and participatory academic environment that fosters interdisciplinary interaction.

To become a dynamic and sustainable center for graduate education, recognized nationally and internationally, pioneering in scientific research and innovation, and shaping society through the influence of its graduates.

In graduate education, ensuring academic excellence is based on the development of interdisciplinary and research-oriented programs grounded in up-to-date knowledge. Program contents are regularly revised and supported by quality assurance systems.
Students and academics are encouraged to conduct qualified, original, and ethical scientific research. The production of publications and collaborations at both national and international levels is promoted. Academic productivity constitutes a fundamental criterion in performance evaluation processes.
Full compliance with the principles of scientific ethics is essential in all academic activities. A zero-tolerance policy is applied against unethical practices such as plagiarism, falsification, and fabrication.
Effective advisory systems are established to support the academic and personal development of graduate students. Educational processes are improved by taking student feedback into account, and both psychological and academic support services are provided.
Cooperation with international higher education institutions is strengthened to encourage student and faculty mobility. Joint programs, project partnerships, and international publications are actively supported.
Continuous improvement is adopted as the core approach through the establishment of feedback mechanisms in all academic and administrative processes. Student satisfaction surveys, alumni tracking studies, and academic performance evaluations are carried out regularly.

Working in close coordination with the University Quality Commission and its subcommittees, carrying out activities in line with the procedures and principles set forth by these bodies.

In academic and administrative units, conducting all necessary activities related to the evaluation and enhancement of academic and administrative services, maintaining quality improvement, and ensuring quality approval in accordance with the strategic plan and objectives of both the unit and the institution. Supporting the University Quality Commission and relevant subcommittees to strengthen institutional performance and achieve success in national and international ranking initiatives.

Carrying out internal evaluation activities within academic and administrative units. Preparing a Unit Performance Evaluation Report based on data received from programs, departments, and divisions within academic units, and submitting it to the University Quality Commission. Compiling data from sub-units within administrative units and presenting it to the University Quality Commission.

Preparing for external evaluations, ensuring that academic and administrative units are ready for site visits or assessments, and providing necessary support to external evaluation bodies, institutions, or councils.

Communicating the decisions of the University Quality Commission to the relevant programs or departments within each unit, monitoring the implementation of these decisions, and following up on their outcomes.

Supporting the preparation of the Haliç University Performance Evaluation Report and other reports produced by the University Quality Commission for submission to the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK).

Contributing to the University’s ranking efforts by assisting the Quality Commission in its work with national and international ranking organizations, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring these improvements are reflected in unit-level performance programs to enhance the University’s position in such rankings.

In academic units, program, department, and division coordinators provide active support to the Academic Unit Quality Commission. Under the guidance of the Commission, they coordinate quality improvement activities within their academic programs and administrative services, monitor performance, and ensure that Academic Unit Quality Commission initiatives are implemented comprehensively across all programs, departments, and divisions of the unit.
