Mission

To ensure the orderly execution of the educational process by embracing service to students as a fundamental duty, upholding contemporary and ethical values, adhering to the rule of law and acting with a research-oriented, inquisitive and productive approach in compliance with quality and standards. Our mission is to utilize developing technologies effectively to provide accurate and reliable information and documentation services to students, alumni, academic staff and our partner institutions in the shortest possible time.

Vision

To become an exemplary Directorate that is student-centered, makes effective use of technological innovations, provides an environment where staff can realize their potential and creativity and upholds the principle of the rule of law. We aim to educate inquisitive, research-minded, productive, entrepreneurial, competitive and socially responsible individuals who contribute to science, technology, culture and the arts at both national and international levels. With an infrastructure open to change and based on stakeholder feedback, we strive to maintain strong collaboration with other university units, contribute to education and training, and deliver services that ensure the highest level of satisfaction among all our stakeholders.

To provide continuous advisory services related to student affairs in order to enhance service quality within the shortest possible time in line with the established objectives.
To ensure cooperation and coordination with the Council of Higher Education, other universities, and relevant institutions of the European Union so that student affairs can adapt effectively to changes and developments at both national and international levels.
To make available to our students all information and resources obtained on matters concerning them and their academic experience.

Process Improvement and Standard Development

  • To analyze the service processes of the Directorate of Student Affairs (such as registration, course selection, transcript issuance, graduation, and disciplinary procedures) in order to improve efficiency.
  • To establish standard procedures and checklists to enhance service quality.

Monitoring of Quality Indicators

  • To monitor indicators that measure the unit’s performance (such as transaction times, student satisfaction survey results, and error rates).
  • To compare results with established targets and propose corrective actions for deviations.

Compliance with Legislation and Regulations

  • To ensure compliance with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK), and internal institutional regulations.
  • To communicate updates on regulatory changes to unit staff.

Evaluation of Student Feedback

  • To collect and analyze data on student complaints, suggestions, and satisfaction in order to prepare service improvement plans.
  • To ensure transparency within processes.

Preparation for Internal and External Evaluations

  • To prepare reports and documentation for internal quality audits or external evaluations conducted by YÖKAK.
  • To coordinate the preparation of the unit’s self-evaluation report.

Staff Training and Capacity Development

  • To identify training needs for staff members on topics such as quality systems, digitalization and student relations.
  • To support intra-team knowledge sharing and capacity-building processes.

Documentation and Record Management

  • To ensure that the unit’s activities are properly recorded, archived and made accessible.
  • To monitor the accuracy and timeliness of procedural manuals.

Risk Analysis and Preventive Actions

  • To identify potential risks (such as peak periods or system interruptions) that may disrupt services and take preventive measures.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • To promote ownership of quality objectives within the unit and take the lead in improvement projects.
  • To enhance process coordination through collaboration with academic units, administrative departments and student clubs.
