Who Can Apply? | DSA

Foreign nationals are eligible to apply as prospective students to higher education institutions in Türkiye. Applicants wishing to study at Haliç University must meet the minimum admission requirements outlined in the Council of Higher Education’s (YÖK) “Regulations on Admission of International Students” as well as in Haliç University’s internal regulations and directives.

High school seniors or graduates who meet one of the following criteria may apply to our programs under the international student quota:

  • Individuals of foreign nationality,
  • Holders of a Blue Card (those who were Turkish citizens by birth but have renounced their Turkish citizenship upon the approval of the Ministry of Interior and hold official documentation in accordance with Article 28 of Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901),
  • Individuals who acquired Turkish citizenship after being foreign nationals (including those with dual nationality holding both Turkish and another country’s citizenship),
  • Holders of a Temporary Protection Certificate,
  • Turkish citizens who have completed their entire secondary education (high school) abroad after 01.02.2013 (applicants in this category must not be graduates of schools affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of National Education),
  • Turkish citizens who have completed at least three years of their secondary education abroad (excluding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) before 01.02.2013 (applicants in this category must also not be graduates of schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education).
