In an informational message sent by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Nihat İnanç, to all academic and administrative staff, it was underlined that the University requires an updated perspective and a renewed vision in areas such as digitalization, the new-generation university approach, national and international rankings, quality and accreditation processes, and research performance. Within this framework, an official project was launched under the coordination of the Technology Transfer Office, marking the first concrete steps in this direction.
Following the call announced to all staff through the aforementioned message, an institutional needs analysis process was initiated to identify the University’s current capacities, capabilities, and potential areas for development. The analysis has been carried out under key themes including digital transformation, the quality assurance system, the research ecosystem, education and training processes, institutional management, stakeholder satisfaction, and strategic planning.
Within the scope of this initiative, the project management team prepared a ten-phase work plan, with each phase systematically tracked and reported. Each phase was completed based on data collected from relevant units and stakeholder feedback, ultimately leading to the creation of a strategic roadmap designed to contribute to the University’s holistic development.
This study holds critical importance for enhancing the University’s digital transformation capacity, strengthening its culture of quality, ensuring sustainable success in accreditation processes, and increasing its international visibility in the upcoming period.
