About The Program

MISSION

To train individuals who combine theory and practice, use information technologies at a very good level, add value to data, competent in software and systems, think analytically and functionally, and adopt ethical values, by providing international education in the fields of computer science and business management.

VISION

To raise individuals who can use the software and systems that businesses need in their business processes, contribute to the solution of social problems by adopting ethical values, and produce original and innovative solutions related to their field.

Teaching Methods

Educational teaching methods; theoretical lecture, practice in the laboratory, preparing a presentation, preparing a project, preparing a homework, in-class academic discussion and case analysis.

Erasmus Agreements

Students of the Management Information Systems (English) department can continue their education at contracted universities for 1 or 2 semesters, provided that they meet the conditions in the regulations related to Erasmus agreements.

The Department of Management Information Systems, which is a multi-disciplinary discipline that combines the theory and practice of computer science and business management technically and socially, started its education under the name of Business Informatics in the 2008-2009 academic year under the name of Business Informatics and accepted students under the name of Management Information Systems in the 2020-2021 academic year. started to do.

Provided that the student completes 240 ECTS credits and does not fail any course, the Weighted Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

A mandatory internship of 45 days, of which at least 25 days is in the field of Informatics, is required.
Graduates of Business Informatics Department, system analysis and design, object-oriented programming (C# and Java), web-based information system applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), logistics and supply chain management, business intelligence, business analysis , IT project management, research and development projects, public and private sector IT consultancy, electronic business and commerce, mobile applications, data analysis and design, network design, management and security on a national and international scale as a software developer, expert and manager, or can work as a software developer, expert and manager or they can start their business.
The passing grade in the department is evaluated by calculating 40% of the total exam evaluations and 60% of the final grade.
