About The Program

The Logistics Management program consists of theoretical and practical courses covering fundamental logistics processes such as supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, inventory control, customs procedures, purchasing, and distribution. Students are equipped with competencies in logistics planning, analysis, and operational processes. The program is also enriched with supporting courses in information systems, business law, international trade, finance, and management.

The Department of Logistics Management was established in response to the growing need for specialists driven by globalization of trade and expanding supply chain processes. In parallel with the development of industry and trade in Türkiye, logistics education has become a part of higher education institutions since the early 2000s. Our department began teaching in 2025.

Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to receive a "Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management" and graduate with the title of "Logistics Manager".

Students are placed based on their results from the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) administered by the Evaluation, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). International student admission is based on quotas and requirements determined by the respective university. Transfer to the program is also possible through various methods, including horizontal transfer, double major, and vertical transfer.

Students who graduate from the Logistics Management program can continue their academic careers by applying to graduate programs (master's and doctoral degrees) or transfer to business-focused programs such as an MBA.

Students must successfully complete all courses in the program, complete a total of 240 ECTS credits, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00. They are also required to have completed their mandatory internships.

Logistics Management graduates can find employment in:

Logistics companies,

Supply chain management departments,

Warehousing and distribution centers,

Customs consultancies,

Transportation and shipping companies,

International trade companies,

Logistics departments of e-commerce platforms,

Public institutions (TCDD, PTT, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, etc.). They can also pursue entrepreneurship by establishing their own logistics or foreign trade companies.

The assessment and evaluation methods applied to each course are specified in the course information packets. Generally, student success is measured through midterm exams, homework assignments, projects, practical applications, and final exams. The final grade is calculated based on 40% of the semester's work and 60% of the final exam.
