The Department of Nursing has started education as the School of Nursing since the establishment of Haliç University in 1999 and is the first School of Nursing opened in foundation universities. Following the undergraduate program, graduate programs were opened in 2003 and doctorate programs in 2006. Since 2020, the Department of Nursing is a department within the Faculty of Health Sciences. In the Department of Nursing, theoretical and applied courses are given by nurse instructors who are experts in their fields. In addition, especially in the first year, nursing practices are primarily carried out in the form of laboratory work. Hospital practices are carried out in state, university and private hospitals under the supervision of lecturers. Our students strengthen their practical skills and professional competencies with intern programs in their final year. |
| Students who successfully complete the Nursing Program are awarded a Bachelor's degree. Graduates who successfully complete the program are given the title of "Nurse". |
| Student admission to the Haliç University Nursing (Turkish) Undergraduate Program is based on the decisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the results of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS), administered by the Evaluation, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates are accepted to the program and registered if they meet the following requirements, as per Article 14 of the Haliç University Associate and Undergraduate Education Directive. |

Graduates who successfully complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program can apply to master's and doctoral programs in nursing or related fields. Admission to graduate programs requires: • A passing score on the ALES exam, • Demonstrate foreign language proficiency (YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL, etc.), • Meet other requirements specified by the program being applied to. |

In recent years, the nursing profession has been among the rising professions and the nursing quota continues its educational activities with full occupancy. Graduates have the opportunity to find employment in the public and private sectors very easily. In addition, nursing graduates who want to work in a certain field after graduation follow various certificate programs according to their subject area and have the opportunity to develop themselves with special knowledge and skills. Some of these special fields include intensive care nursing, wound care nursing, diabetes education nursing, dialysis nursing, newborn intensive care nursing and many more special branches of nursing. The field of study of nursing is very wide. It is possible to work in primary level community health services, care services in case of illness, nursing in cases requiring rehabilitation, as well as freelance home care nursing. Graduates who want to pursue a career in the field of nursing can continue their master's and doctoral programs and work in the academic field and have academic titles. |
| The academic standing of students in the Nursing Department of Haliç University's Faculty of Health Sciences is determined in accordance with the Haliç University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations. Because this is a practical unit, in addition to midterm and final exams, hospital practice, clinical assessments, care plans, and internship notebooks are also evaluated. |
