The Faculty of Architecture was established when the Departments of Architecture and Interior Architecture, which were initially part of our University’s Faculty of Engineering in 2000, began admitting students as the Faculty of Architecture following the Council of Ministers’ decision numbered 10372, dated 19.04.2006. The faculty currently continues its educational activities with three departments: Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Industrial Product Design.

The vision of our Faculty of Architecture is to be an academic institution that educates research-oriented, entrepreneurial, solution-focused, and innovative individuals; that produces high-quality added value for the scientific, technological, artistic, and cultural development of society while adhering to ethical principles; and that is capable of being a prominent actor at both national and international levels.

With this vision, and with an awareness of the deep-rooted history and cultural heritage represented by the Golden Chain of the Golden Horn, we aim to be one of Turkey’s leading faculties of architecture, training experts in their fields through education, teaching, and scientific research.

The renewed and updated goal of the Faculty of Architecture’s classical core education is to provide a careful and original education that will train intellectual and successful professionals who can solve advanced design problems and who are sensitive and respectful to national and local realities.

Additionally, our primary mission is to train architects, interior architects, and industrial product designers who are sensitive to cultural heritage in a professional sense and who can develop feasible projects that offer effective solutions to Istanbul’s current problems.

With this vision and these objectives, the faculty-level projects we have initiated continue with the same enthusiasm and dedication. Thanks to the unique, devoted, and meticulous contributions of all our academic staff, we are making rapid progress in these projects. We continue on our path with the aim of providing the same quality and standard of education to our new students joining us.
