Mission

To shape the entire higher education journey of international students in a way that reflects their personal development. This is achieved by creating a cross-cultural and formative environment that enables students to continuously develop while feeling at home in their new destination.

Within this mission, our ultimate task is to contribute to Haliç University’s superior education and teaching quality. Instilling this mission in all our department staff, progressing along this path with our stakeholders, and working to enrich this goal are also part of this mission. The Haliç University Directorate of International Students exists to ensure that this mission is implemented seamlessly, fairly, and successfully.

Transforming into a university comprised of diverse international students who are well aware of their whereabouts, confident in their decisions, and easily adapt to new environments thanks to us; while also demonstrating our added value in the internationalisation process of both our university and our country.

In line with its strategic plan and objectives, the Directorate of International Students aims to establish internal and external quality assurance systems to evaluate the services and processes it conducts, enhance their quality, define institutional indicators, and carry out related activities in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Quality Board, while also providing recommendations to the relevant unit manager.
Developing, evaluating, and revising, when necessary, the business processes related to international students (such as promotion/marketing activities, application evaluation, enrollment procedures, etc.).
Implementing internal control processes within the unit, monitoring practices, and carrying out corrective actions when needed.
Supporting the implementation of decisions made by the Unit Quality Commission across the Directorate of International Students and monitoring the outcomes.
Preparing the Unit Internal Evaluation Report and other quality-related documents, and submitting them to the Directorate of Strategy Development and Quality Assurance and KADİD when requested.
