Model and prototype production is an important part of the product development process in industrial design education. In our Faculty of Architecture, our workshop-where students in the Model and Prototype Production and Advanced Model Production courses work one-on-one with expert faculty members and instructors in this field-is named after Prof. Önder KÜÇÜKERMAN, the founding dean and the first founder of the industrial design department in our country.
Our workshop is equipped with large saw machines, circular and band sanders, a benchtop pillar drill, a large welding machine, a wood lathe, and a benchtop jigsaw for shaping materials such as wood, wood composites, acrylic, and styrofoam sheets. In addition, various hand tools such as an air compressor for painting processes, hand routers, carving tools, a soldering machine, a cordless drill, an air gun, and socket sets are also available in our workshop.
