About The Program

Haliç University Opera Department was founded in 2007-2008 academic year by Çetin KÖRÜKÇÜ. Haliç University Conservatory, in addition to being the first conservatory among foundation universities, is also the first conservatory to have Turkish Music, Theater and Opera departments. Since the day he stepped into our Conservatory, the student feels the elite and different atmosphere created by these three branches of art and takes quicker and more confident steps towards becoming an artist. As in all branches of the conservatory, the leading artist teachers of our country work devotedly and share their experience and deep knowledge with their students in the Opera branch. The opera department enriches the educational experience of students with its close working relations with cultural and artistic institutions, interdisciplinary performance projects and international collaborations with conservatories abroad, and helps them establish a professional communication network before starting their future careers. Our opera department continues to train the new generation artists of our country with its well-equipped, experienced and strong staff.
