About The Program
Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği Bölümü, eğitim bilimleri, eğitim psikolojisi, spor psikolojisi, insan anatomisi ve kinesiyoloji, egzersiz fizyolojisi, antrenman bilimi, psikomotor gelişim, öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri gibi konuları içeren interdisipliner bir alandır. Bölüm, öğrencilerinin mesleki bilgilerinin yanında, nitelikli, araştırmacı, problemlere kısa sürede doğru çözümler bulabilen, bilimsel ve teknik gelişmeleri takip edebilen, çağdaş, üretken ve donanımlı bireyler olarak mezun olmalarını sağlamaktadır.

Haliç University School of Physical Education and Sports was founded in 2008 in Turkey as both a School of Physical Education and Sports and one of the four departments it houses, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching. Physical Education and Sports Teaching was opened in 2018. The structure of BESYO was restructured as the "Faculty of Sports Sciences" and started to operate as the Faculty of Sports Sciences within Haliç University.
Physical Education and sports teacher training
Our university accepts students with Special Talent Exams within the calendar determined by ÖSYM. For teaching programs, it is required to be at least 800,000th in TYT. All candidates, including disabled candidates, must have at least 800,000th success rank in Y-TYT in order to be able to choose teaching programs (The success rank of the placement score without additional points is taken into account).
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in their own fields or in related fields, provided that they have passed ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge.

The student must have passed all courses in the curriculum during the eight term and not have an FF, DZ or a yz grade. At the same time, the student has to provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Graduates can work as Physical Education and Sports Teachers in public schools or private colleges if they receive sufficient points from the AGS.
Theoretical and practical courses midterm and final exams are conducted theoretically and practically over 100 full points. The rate of attendance of the grades taken from midterm and final exams is determined by the instructor. Students are responsible for doing the assignments, seminars and assignments given for each course.
