Haliç University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture; It is a program that provides education at undergraduate and graduate (master's and doctorate) levels. The Department of Architecture is affiliated to the Faculty of Architecture, which was opened in 2000. The Thesis and Non-Thesis Master's Program offered by the department started in 2006, and the PhD Program started in 2011.
Students who complete the Master of Architecture Program usually receive title Master Architect. This degree is awarded based on students' achievements in the program and meeting the program requirements. The Master's Degree in Architecture is an academic title that provides students with more advanced knowledge and skills. This degree indicates that graduates have specialized in architecture and have received an advanced education. The Master's Degree in Architecture offers graduates the opportunity to advance both in their academic careers and reach higher positions in professional practice.
To have a bachelor's degree in one of the fields of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Industrial Product Design, City and Regional Planning. Scientific Applications for Out of Field Applications
There is a prerequisite for preparation.
To have at least 55 points from the ALES numerical score type. (ALES score requirement is not required for the admission of foreign students to graduate programs.)
After completing the Master of Architecture Program, students can move on to different higher levels. These transition options may include:

Architecture Doctorate Program: Graduates of the Architecture Master's Program can transfer to the Architecture Doctorate Program if they want to do advanced research and specialize in the academic field. The PhD program provides students with the opportunity to pursue an academic career by gaining the ability to conduct independent research and generate new knowledge.

Academic Career: Graduates of the Architecture Master's Program can find the opportunity to work as a lecturer or researcher at universities. An academic career provides students with opportunities to engage in roles such as research, teaching, and mentoring.

Architectural Office or Companies: Graduates of the Architecture Master's Program can work in architectural offices or other design firms. In this context, graduates can rise to higher positions, take on project management responsibilities and be involved in more complex projects.

Architectural Affairs in the Public or Private Sector: Graduates of the Architecture Master's Program can work in positions related to architectural works in public institutions or in the private sector. In these fields, graduates may be involved in the planning, design, supervision or management processes of architectural projects.

International Projects: Graduates of the Architecture Master's Program can find the opportunity to work in architectural projects abroad. They can gain design experience in different cultural and geographical contexts by taking part in international projects.

To be successful in the thesis exam and other required for graduation determined by the Senate Provided that the conditions are met, the final version of the student's thesis, who has been successful in the thesis exam, is sent to the advisor and the advisor.

The lecturer assigned by the department / department examines it in terms of compliance with the thesis writing guide.

At least three bound copies and two CDs of the approved master's thesis should be sent to a Graduate student who submits his/her thesis to the Graduate School within a month and whose thesis is found appropriate in terms of form.

A master's degree with a thesis is awarded by the decision of the board. The Institute Administrative Board, upon request, takes a maximum of one delivery time, may take another month.

Students who do not fulfill these conditions cannot receive their diploma until they fulfill the conditions, cannot benefit from student rights and is dismissed if the maximum period expires.
They can work as designers, implementers and controllers in the design and construction units of the Public and Private Sector (T.R. Ministry of Public Works and Settlement, TR Ministry of Transport, Municipalities, Building Inspection Agencies, Banks, etc.). As freelance architects, they can establish their own workplaces and carry out Public and Private Sector projects and projects that they are ranked in national - international competitions. They can take part in exhibition organizations and magazines published in the field of architecture. They can work as academicians at universities.
In the Master program of Haliç University Department of Architecture, at least one midterm exam and one final exam are held each semester for each course. Optional mid-term exams can be given by the instructor without predetermining a date. The criteria used in the evaluation of the success of the courses (midterm exam, final exam, homework, etc.) and the ratios of these criteria are determined by the instructors giving the courses. The final course grade is given by the lecturer of the course, taking into account the results of the midterm and final exams, the work in the semester and the attendance to the course.
