A cooperation protocol has been signed between our university and the Gastronomy Tourism Association to enhance education, research, and industry–academia collaboration in the field of gastronomy tourism.
Through this collaboration, the parties will support students in gaining industry experience, implement joint academic and applied projects, and organize seminars, workshops, and various scientific events. The protocol also aims to contribute to the development of qualified human resources in gastronomy tourism and to establish a strong and sustainable framework for university–industry cooperation.
The protocol is expected to create significant synergy by bringing together the academic expertise of Haliç University and the industry experience of the Gastronomy Tourism Association. In this context, the initiative seeks to preserve and promote local gastronomic values, support innovative approaches, and elevate Turkish gastronomy to a stronger position at both national and international levels.
Key objectives of the collaboration also include transferring the academic expertise of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts to the industry, positioning the “Haliç” brand at an international level, developing projects with the contributions of students and academics, increasing visibility through joint events, and transforming these initiatives into academic outputs and publications.
