Social and Psychological Counseling Unit

At certain periods of their lives, individuals may realize that they are unable to maintain their daily lives and relationships functionally, frequently experience similar problems or do not feel well emotionally. During such times, they may struggle to identify and resolve the source of their problems on their own. The goal of the therapy process is to enable the individual to get to know themselves, analyze the areas they struggle with in their past and present and facilitate their mental well-being.

Our university provides a Social and Psychological Counseling Unit that students and employees can apply to whenever needed. For clients who decide to start therapy, sessions are initially scheduled once a week. In the later stages of therapy, this frequency may be adjusted to twice a week or once every two weeks, depending on the need.

Confidentiality is one of the most fundamental principles of this unit. Everything discussed during therapy remains strictly between the psychologist and the client; families and university employees are not informed about the sessions.

Students who wish to benefit from this service can schedule an appointment by contacting our psychologist via e-mail. Responses to emails are provided in accordance with the appointment schedule.
