About The Program

Master's Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence Engineering with Thesis, Bachelor's Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other relevant programs specified in the admission requirements. The program aims to equip students with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The program aims to provide students with both academic research competence and industrial application skills.
Students have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, autonomous systems, data analytics, optimization, and intelligent system design. Depending on the chosen thesis topic, students are expected to deepen their knowledge of current technologies and research topics through elective courses in line with their areas of interest.
The compulsory courses included in the program aim to establish a solid foundation in fundamental areas such as research methods, scientific ethics, advanced algorithms, statistical learning, and artificial intelligence system design, while elective courses enable students to specialize in a specific subfield. In addition, seminar and thesis courses are designed to develop students' ability to conduct independent research, prepare theses in accordance with academic writing rules, and present their scientific findings.
The program aims to equip graduates with the skills to pursue doctoral-level academic careers, work in research and development centers, lead big data and artificial intelligence projects, and develop ethical, reliable, and sustainable artificial intelligence systems.

Haliç University Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Degree Program with Thesis began education and training in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Students who successfully complete the Master's Degree Program with Thesis are awarded a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence Engineering (with Thesis).

Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education in Engineering or in one of the basic science fields involving mathematics, such as Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, and must have obtained a minimum score of 55 in the quantitative section of the ALES exam.

Our graduates with a master's degree can pursue a doctorate in fields such as Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Information Systems.

Seven elective courses, Scientific Research Methods and Publication Ethics, Seminar, Specialized Topics, Master's Thesis 1, and Master's Thesis 2 must be taken. A total of 120 ECTS credits must be earned.

Program graduates can work in public and private sector organizations operating in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, and smart systems. Graduates can work as specialists, researchers, or project managers in management, research and development (R&D), technology production, finance, defense industry, healthcare, education, telecommunications, e-commerce, and service sectors.
They can also be employed by banks, technology companies, software and hardware companies, organizations that develop data analytics and big data solutions, start-up companies, and universities. Graduates can take on positions such as machine learning engineer, data scientist, artificial intelligence specialist, deep learning researcher, computer vision engineer, natural language processing specialist, and intelligent systems designer.
Graduates aiming for an academic career can continue their education in doctoral programs and have the opportunity to work as faculty members or researchers at universities.

The success status of students in the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Thesis Program at Haliç University's Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering is determined in accordance with the provisions of the Haliç University Graduate Education and Teaching Regulations.
