About The Program

In order for our country to reach its 2023 goals, great leaps should be made in the university education. The development of Engineering Sciences will definitely be one of the important steps in reaching this goal. In this context, strengthening the Industrial Engineering infrastructure is an extremely important factor for the development of the economy in our country. It is anticipated that qualified graduates who will be educated with the Industrial Engineering Master's discipline will contribute to achieving this goal.

Persons with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering may be responsible for the balanced distribution of the organization's resources and their effective use, increasing quality and efficiency within the framework of the principle of continuous improvement, and establishing cooperation between experts as well. In addition to their own specific business occupations, they also act as a bridge between experts from different fields and management. In addition, they can work in the areas of business design, business measurement, wage management, workplace organization, material management, production planning and control, cost and budget control, quality management and ergonomics.

Today, Industrial Engineers are needed especially for large-scale enterprises and Industrial Engineering employment with a master's degree is increasing day by day. In addition to production related businesses, industrial engineers are increasingly working in service businesses in the banking, insurance, consulting, tourism, transportation, healthcare and other similar sectors. In this context, it is aimed to contribute to the economic development of the country by allowing students who have successfully graduated from different disciplines to be accepted to the Industrial Engineering Master's Program.

Students accepted to the Industrial Engineering Master's Program with Thesis will successfully complete 3 compulsory courses (21 ECTS) + 4 elective courses (28 ECTS) + Seminar (11 ECTS) + Thesis (60 ECTS) and graduate the Master of Science Program with a total of 120 ECTS.

Students accepted to the Industrial Engineering Master's Program without Thesis successfully complete their education with 3 compulsory courses (21 ECTS) + 7 elective courses (49 ECTS) + Semester Project (30 ECTS) with a total of 100 ECTS.???????

Students admitted to the Industrial Engineering Master's Program with Thesis will successfully complete 3 compulsory courses (21 ECTS) + 4 elective courses (28 ECTS) + Seminar (11 ECTS) + Thesis (60 ECTS) and graduate from the Master's Program in total. 120 ECTS.
Students admitted to the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Industrial Engineering successfully complete their education with a total of 100 ECTS, including 3 compulsory courses (21 ECTS) + 7 elective courses (49 ECTS) + Term Project (30 ECTS).
Persons with Industrial Engineering Master's Degree may be responsible for the balanced distribution of the resources of the organization, their effective use, increasing the quality and efficiency within the framework of the principle of continuous improvement, and establishing cooperation between experts. Evaluation and success grade in exams

1) The success grade of a course is calculated according to the weighted average of the midterm exam grades and the grades in the other semester studies, if any, and the grades taken in the semester/end or make-up exam.

2) Success grades are expressed in letters by the faculty members, taking into account the statistical distribution of grades and the general success status of the students. Success grades and their coefficients are as follows:

Success Grade Numeric Value
AA 4.00
BA 3.50
BB 3.00
CB 2.50
CC 2.00
F 0.00
3) Students who do not fulfill their attendance requirements are given an IA grade; this grade is treated as an F grade in the grade point averages calculation. Students with an IA grade must fulfill their attendance obligations when they repeat the course.

4) Students who do not take the final or make-up exam are given an NP grade regardless of their work during the semester; this grade is treated as an F grade in the grade point averages calculation.

5) P (successful) and F (unsuccessful) success in applied courses such as seminars and term projects and in master's and doctoral thesis studies are evaluated.

6) In order for the student to be successful in a course in graduate education, the semester/end-of-term grade must be at least CC or P for each course. A grade of F is given to the student for the courses that he/she fails at the end of a semester/semester. A student who fails a compulsory or elective course repeats the same course or a different course that his/her advisor deems appropriate.

7) The weighted grade point average is calculated by dividing the total obtained by multiplying the success grade coefficient values of all courses taken by a student with the ECTS credits of these courses, by the total ECTS credits taken by the student. Applied courses such as seminars and term projects, whose success is evaluated with P and F, and credits for master's and doctoral thesis studies are not included in the weighted grade point average calculation.
