The Istanbul’s Historic Waterways Tour, organized in collaboration with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İSKİ (Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration), was held with the participation of our University’s academic and administrative staff. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Enes Eryarsoy and our Deputy Secretary General, Esma Bendez, also accompanied our staff throughout the program.
During the tour, which focused on Istanbul’s historic waterways and the role these structures have played in the city’s past, participants had the opportunity to closely explore some of Istanbul’s significant historical sites. Offering an opportunity to discover the city’s cultural heritage, the tour also enabled our academic and administrative staff to come together and enjoy a pleasant and productive experience.
As part of the program, participants visited the İSKİ Su Kafe, the Istanbul Museum of Water Civilizations, the Mağlova Aqueduct and Kirazlı Bent. The tour provided an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Istanbul’s historic water structures.
