TÜBİTAK Project Success from Our Faculty of Business Students

Projects prepared by our university students under the guidance of their advisors have been awarded funding within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program and the TÜBİTAK 2209-B University Students Research Projects Support Program for Industry.

The accepted projects within our Faculty focus on contemporary and high-application-value fields such as financial literacy, digital learning, AI-powered micro-learning, sustainability awareness, game theory, data analysis, and actuarial modeling. In addition to strengthening our students’ research culture, these achievements serve as concrete indicators of our academic advising processes, interdisciplinary approach, and industry-oriented output generation.

  • Project Summary: By combining micro-learning and gamification approaches, this project aims to create an innovative digital learning platform designed to enhance university students’ financial literacy, financial self-efficacy, and investment awareness. The platform intends to strengthen young people’s financial decision-making skills and offer a scalable model transferable to the industry in the field of digital education.

  • Project Summary: This project aims to develop an AI-powered, Python-based personalized micro-learning platform dedicated to increasing financial literacy levels among women in Türkiye. The platform targets reducing structural barriers women face in accessing financial information through a digital, scalable, and user-adaptive educational model. The prototype is expected to form a commercializable core product in the fields of fintech and educational technologies, thereby contributing to financial inclusion and social benefit.

  • Project Summary: The project aims to develop a gamified mobile simulation model to increase sustainable living awareness among individuals and corporations. Bringing together environmental education, behavioral transformation, game-based learning, and digital behavioral analytics, a Unity-based 2.5D mobile simulation prototype will be developed. The project output is expected to provide a scalable model for sustainability training, corporate awareness programs, and industry-oriented digital education solutions.

  • Project Summary: This project aims to measure the financial literacy levels of high school and university students in Türkiye, identify current knowledge gaps, and develop a sustainable financial awareness model for youth. Within the scope of the research, students’ budget management, savings habits, investment awareness, and usage levels of digital financial tools will be analyzed through surveys and interviews. Based on the findings, digital educational content, workshop proposals, and a micro-learning-based financial awareness model will be developed for young people.

  • Project Summary: This project aims to examine the US-China trade war within the framework of game theory from the Nash Equilibrium perspective and analyze the strategic moves of the parties through macroeconomic indicators. Utilizing Python and econometric methods, data from the 2005-2025 period including GDP, inflation, unemployment, and policy interest rates will be modeled to evaluate the equilibrium conditions of both countries. Furthermore, indirect regional impacts on third-party countries such as Türkiye, Germany, and South Korea will be addressed.

  • Project Summary: This project aims to examine the effects of retirement age, premium payment days, and income levels on pension amounts in Türkiye’s premium-based retirement system using actuarial mathematics methods. Utilizing open data from SGK (Social Security Institution) and TURKSTAT (Turkish Statistical Institute), various age and premium scenarios will be generated to analyze indicators such as the pension replacement rate, net present value, and purchasing power. The project will compare early and deferred retirement scenarios in terms of actuarial equivalence.
