Haliç University and the Turkish Maarif Foundation have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at creating new opportunities in education, employment, and internationalization.
The agreement, signed by Kemal Bilal Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Haliç University, and Mahmut M. Özdil, President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, marks the start of a sustainable and multi-dimensional collaboration to strengthen academic and institutional partnerships.
It includes joint initiatives in strategic areas such as expanding educational opportunities, supporting qualified human resources, and enhancing international academic networks. As part of this framework, Haliç University plans to offer tuition discounts for Turkish Maarif Foundation staff and their immediate family members in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The agreement also aims to support internships and employment opportunities for outstanding students and alumni, both in Türkiye and abroad, while implementing initiatives that foster students’ career development.
Moreover, it seeks to strengthen collaboration in international student recruitment and placement. Through this partnership, Haliç University’s international student profile is expected to diversify, and the university will gain stronger integration with the global education network of the Turkish Maarif Foundation.
The protocol also covers the development of joint projects in education, research, and institutional development, promoting knowledge and experience sharing to enhance academic productivity.
Ali Çiçek, Board Member of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, and Esma Bendez, Deputy Secretary General of Haliç University, also participated in the process. The agreement, shaped through these discussions, is expected to yield long-term and productive outcomes for both institutions.
