Our University Takes a Step Toward International Expansion at NAFSA 2026

Haliç University continues its efforts to expand its global academic network and strengthen international partnerships in line with its vision for international expansion.

The NAFSA 2026 Annual Conference & Expo, organized by the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA), one of the leading organizations in international education, was held in Orlando, Florida, USA, from May 26 to 29, 2026. Bringing together higher education institutions and education professionals from around the world, the event provided an important platform for international engagement. Our University represented Türkiye at the “Study in Türkiye” pavilion hosted by the Turkish National Agency.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Enes Eryarsoy, and Deputy Secretary General Esma Bendez attended the conference on behalf of our University. During the event, a series of meetings were held to explore opportunities for international collaboration, while recent developments in the internationalization of higher education, particularly in student and staff mobility, were also discussed.

During the conference, the delegation met with İlker Astarcı, President of the Turkish National Agency. The meeting focused on international education programmes and opportunities for cooperation in higher education.
