Kazakhstan Culture Promotion Days Held at Our University

The Kazakhstan Culture Promotion Days, organized in cooperation with the World Ethnosport Confederation and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, were held at our University with the participation of Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, President of the World Ethnosport Confederation. The program was also attended by our Board of Trustees Chairman Kemal Bilal Aydın, Rector Prof. Dr. Enes Eryarsoy, and Board of Trustees Vice Chairman Abdullah Ceylan. The event attracted strong interest from international students from different countries.

The program began with a dombra performance, one of the symbols of Turkish culture. In his speech, Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among Turkic states. He also noted the importance of increasing student mobility and stated that cultural events of this kind contribute to strengthening relations between countries.

Erdoğan also referred to ongoing international cooperation within the Turkic world. He stated that joint efforts are being carried out with several countries, particularly Uzbekistan, to preserve and promote traditional sports. He added that the growing interest of public institutions and civil society organizations in Uzbekistan in this field is positive, and that educational and academic cooperation continues to develop each year.

He also mentioned Ethnosport events organized in different countries in previous years and stated that the World Ethnosport Confederation aims to reach wider audiences with these activities. He noted that preparations are ongoing for a large-scale international Ethnosport event planned for 2027 and that the host country will be announced in the coming period.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation among Turkic world countries and stated that strong collaboration mechanisms are needed in response to regional and global developments. He also noted the role of the Organization of Turkic States in this context.

Within the program, traditional elements of Kazakh culture were introduced and participants had the opportunity to interact with students from different countries. The event concluded with Kazakh students presenting gifts to the participants and a group photo session.
