As part of HaliçFest’26, the “International Day” event created a vibrant and interactive atmosphere on campus by bringing together different cultures. International students shared cultural values from their home countries with our students, contributing to intercultural exchange.
At the stands set up in the event area, traditional foods from different countries were introduced, while students shared information about their traditions, daily life and cultural practices. Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to explore the cultural richness of different regions firsthand.
One of the highlights of the event was the international fashion show, where students took the stage wearing traditional outfits representing their home countries. The show, reflecting cultural diversity, attracted strong interest from participants. International dance performances also added color to the event.
Featuring DJ performances, dance shows, traditional costumes and traditional foods, the event area became a social meeting point where students could freely present their cultures and interact with others.
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. N. Öykü İyigün and Prof. Dr. Kazım Sarı also visited the stands and met with students during the event.
“International Day” was held as one of the events reflecting Haliç University’s multicultural campus environment and strengthening cultural exchange among international students.
