A cooperation protocol covering joint activities in education, culture, arts, and science has been signed between our university and the Yunus Emre Institute.
The protocol was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Haliç University, Kemal Bilal Aydın, and the President of the Yunus Emre Institute, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Aliy.
The agreement is expected to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions through cultural and scientific initiatives, the implementation of joint projects, and the wider promotion of Türkiye’s cultural heritage at national and international level.
Under the protocol, our university and the Yunus Emre Institute will cooperate in organizing educational and cultural events, conducting scientific research, promoting the Turkish language and culture, supporting national and international programmes, and developing joint academic and cultural projects.
The agreement also includes support for the Turkish Summer School and Thematic Summer School programmes organized by the Yunus Emre Institute, as well as the dissemination of joint activities through various communication channels to reach wider audiences.
In addition, cultural, artistic, and scientific activities to be held by the Yunus Emre Institute at the Terra Santa Monastery are planned to be carried out in collaboration with Haliç University. The protocol also aims to bring together the academic and cultural expertise of both institutions through joint projects.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Kemal Bilal Aydın, noted that universities are not only educational institutions but also key actors in cultural production and international engagement:
“This cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute is an important step in line with our university’s internationalisation vision and its commitment to cultural heritage. We are pleased to be developing joint projects with an institution that plays a leading role in promoting the Turkish language, culture, and arts worldwide. Through this protocol, we aim to extend the knowledge and experience of our students, academics, and institutional capacity to wider platforms, contributing to cultural diplomacy, scientific production, and international collaboration.”
The protocol, which will remain in force for five years, will be further developed through joint events, research activities, and projects agreed upon by both parties.
The cooperation is expected to contribute significantly to academic output, cultural exchange, and the international promotion of Türkiye’s cultural values.
