From Haliç University to the Top of European Football

Our university’s student, Gaoussou Diarra, has successfully managed both his academic and athletic careers, earning a transfer to Feyenoord, a prominent club in European football.

Diarra came to Türkiye from Mali to pursue his education and began his undergraduate studies at our university’s Faculty of Business. While continuing his university education, the talented athlete also pursued his football career, catching the eye of many with his performance for İstanbulspor. Diarra, who was being closely monitored by European clubs, has now taken a significant step in his career by signing a contract with Feyenoord, one of the Netherlands’ long-established teams.
