Faculty of Sports Sciences Event Featured in the International Olympic Academy Journal

An academic event entitled Beyond Borders: The Path from Olympia to Anatolia, organized by the English Sports Management Department of Haliç University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, has been featured in the official journal of the International Olympic Academy (IOA).

The event appeared in both English and French in the 27th issue of The Official Journal of the International Olympic Academy, a biannual publication of the International Olympic Academy, the academic arm of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Bringing together academics and participants from different countries, the program provided a platform for interdisciplinary exchange in the field of sports sciences and fostered the development of international academic partnerships. Its inclusion in the official publication of the International Olympic Academy is considered a significant achievement that enhances the international profile of Haliç University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences.

Haliç University also holds the distinction of being the first university from Türkiye to be admitted to the International Olympic Academy, access to which is granted only through special diplomatic authorization. This achievement reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to Olympic education, sports culture, and international academic collaboration.

Commenting on the program, Dr. Yeşim Albayrak Kuruoğlu, Vice Chair of the English Sports Management Department within the Faculty of Sports Sciences, said:
