VIII. International Congress of Exercise and Sports Psychology took place from April 24-26, 2025. During the congress, Dr. Duygu Karadağ, a faculty member of the Department of Trainer Education at our University's Faculty of Sports Sciences, achieved a significant accomplishment.

Dr. Karadağ was awarded third place in the oral presentation category for her research titled "Fear of Missing Out on Developments and the Intention to Continue Sports Among Student-Athletes: The Mediating Role of School Alienation and Sport Desensitization."

In her study, Dr. Karadağ aimed to examine the mediating role of school alienation and sport desensitization levels in the relationship between the fear of missing out on developments and the intention to continue sports among student-athletes in the dual career process. The study, which analyzed 303 student-athletes, found that as the fear of missing out on developments increased, so did their levels of school alienation and sport desensitization, which in turn affected their intention to continue sports.

We congratulate Dr. Karadağ on receiving this prestigious award at the congress and wish her continued success in her academic endeavors.
