The scientific article titled “A New Error-Aware Hybrid Framework with Particle Swarm Optimization for Explainable Smart Home Energy Forecasting” by Asst. Prof. Monireh Norouzi, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at our University’s Faculty of Engineering, was published in 2026 in the internationally peer-reviewed journal Energy and Built Environment. Published by KeAi in collaboration with Elsevier, the journal is indexed in the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) and Scopus databases and is ranked in the Scopus/SCImago Q1 category.
The study presents a hybrid forecasting model that combines particle swarm optimization (PSO), error awareness, and explainable artificial intelligence methods to enable more accurate and reliable predictions of energy consumption in smart homes. The developed model aims to reduce error rates in energy consumption forecasts, make artificial intelligence decision-making processes more understandable, and contribute to more efficient energy management in smart buildings.
We congratulate our academician on this achievement and wish her continued success.
