A research project developed by Assoc. Prof. Alireza Souri, a faculty member of the Department of Computer Engineering at Haliç University, has been approved under China’s 2026 International Foreign Experts Individual Project Program. The project, titled “Development of an AI-Based Framework for Cyberattack Detection in UAV-Assisted Internet of Vehicles (IoV) Systems,” will receive funding for 24 months under the Type H (High-Level Foreign Expert Project) category.
The project will be carried out in collaboration between Shandong University of Technology and Haliç University, with annual funding of RMB 300,000 (approximately USD 45,000). Led by Assoc. Prof. Souri, the research aims to collect real-world UAV flight data and develop artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning models to detect cyberattacks and jamming threats in UAV-assisted IoV networks.
Contributing to international academic collaboration, the project represents an important step in advancing research in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
We congratulate our academic member and wish him continued success.
