On September 28, 2026, Occupational Health and Safety Training was provided to second-year students of the Department of Industrial Design as part of the EÜT2105 Model Making Techniques course.
As part of the training, the basic principles of occupational health and safety, points to be considered when using workshops, potential risks and the precautions to be taken against these risks were addressed, with the aim of helping students develop safe working practices in the workshop environments they will use during model and mockup production processes.
Students were particularly informed about the safety rules to be followed when working with hand tools, equipment, and various materials used in model-making processes. Emphasis was placed on ensuring individual and shared safety in the workshop environment, the proper use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.
The training aimed to raise students’ awareness of the risks they may encounter during workshop and practical work processes, help them develop safe working practices and enable them to apply these skills in different practical studies they will undertake throughout their education.
