Life At Haliç

In the Theater Department, where students are trained in acting, students take theoretical lessons as well as basic acting lessons. Two-thirds of the courses are applied and one-third are theoretical. Students learn various acting techniques from classical to modern. After the acting lessons in the first four semesters, students are introduced to various approaches that will give them different perspectives that will help them to create their own synthesis. Haliç University Conservatory is among the leading art institutions in Turkey with its location, departments, teaching staff and mission. Our conservatory started its education with the Turkish Music Department in the 1999-2000 academic year, then the Theater in the 2001-2002 academic year and the Opera and Concert Singing departments in the 2007-2008 academic year. Haliç University Conservatory, in addition to being the first conservatory among foundation universities, is also the first conservatory to have departments such as Turkish Music, Theater and Opera. |
| Students who successfully complete this program are awarded the Performing Arts (Non-Thesis Master's) diploma. |

| Students who successfully complete their master's education in this program can study in doctoral programs in their field or related fields, provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES exam and have sufficient English language knowledge. |

| In this program, the exams and evaluation are conducted according to regulations of “Halic University Graduate Education and Examination Committee”. |
| Students who graduate from the programme gain an important academic phase, and they can work in various art institutions in the country and abroad, such as the State Opera and Ballet, State Theatre, City Theatre. They can also work as performing artists in the private theaters. They may also have a chance of success in cinema and television. |
