About The Program

Persons with Industrial Engineering Master's Degree may be responsible for the balanced distribution of the resources of the organization, their effective use, increasing the quality and efficiency within the framework of the principle of continuous improvement, and establishing cooperation between experts. In addition to the unique occupations of an enterprise, they also serve as a bridge between experts in different fields and management. In addition, they can work in the fields of job design, work measurement, wage management, workplace arrangement, material management, production planning and control, cost and budget control, quality management and ergonomics.
Evaluation and success grade in exams

(1) The success grade of a course is calculated according to the weighted average of the midterm exam grades and the grades in the other semester studies, if any, and the grades taken in the semester/end or make-up exam.

(2) Success grades are expressed in letters by the faculty members, taking into account the statistical distribution of grades and the general success status of the students. Success grades and their coefficients are as follows:

Success Grade Numeric Value
AA 4.00
BA 3.50
BB 3.00
CB 2.50
CC 2.00
F 0.00
(3) Students who do not fulfill their attendance requirements are given an IA grade; this grade is treated as an F grade in the grade point averages calculation. Students with an IA grade must fulfill their attendance obligations when they repeat the course.

(4) Students who do not take the final or make-up exam are given an NP grade regardless of their work during the semester; this grade is treated as an F grade in the grade point averages calculation.

(5) P (successful) and F (unsuccessful) success in applied courses such as seminars and term projects and in master's and doctoral thesis studies are evaluated.

(6) In order for the student to be successful in a course in graduate education, the semester/end-of-term grade must be at least CC or P for each course. A grade of F is given to the student for the courses that he/she fails at the end of a semester/semester. A student who fails a compulsory or elective course repeats the same course or a different course that his/her advisor deems appropriate.

(7) The weighted grade point average is calculated by dividing the total obtained by multiplying the success grade coefficient values of all courses taken by a student with the ECTS credits of these courses, by the total ECTS credits taken by the student. Applied courses such as seminars and term projects, whose success is evaluated with P and F, and credits for master's and doctoral thesis studies are not included in the weighted grade point average calculation.
