About The Program

The Master’s program in Clinical Psychology is designed to promote mental health, assess psychopathology from a multidimensional perspective, and teach scientific and evidence-based intervention methods. It aims to equip students with ethical principles, psychotherapy models, and advanced psychological assessment and evaluation skills at both theoretical and practical levels.



The Clinical Psychology program consists of core courses in clinical psychology, supervised practice, clinical internships, and a thesis project.



Within the program, students learn clinical interview skills, psychopathology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and third-wave therapies, supported by practical training through field internships and psychotherapy supervision.



Students who complete the Master’s program in Clinical Psychology earn the title of clinical psychologist and can work in mental health centers, private and public hospitals, universities and research institutions, psychological counseling centers, as well as private and public organizations.

Students who successfully complete the Master’s program in Clinical Psychology are awarded a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology (Thesis Track) degree.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and have scored at least 55 on the ALES exam and at least 60 on the Haliç University science exam.
They are eligible to apply for third-level programs.

The program consists of a total of 120 ECTS credits, comprising required and elective courses (42 ECTS), psychotherapy supervision (6 ECTS), a seminar (12 ECTS), a field internship, and a master’s thesis (60 ECTS). The standard duration for completing this program is 4 semesters, and the maximum duration is 6 semesters. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00, successfully complete all courses, fulfill the clinical practice and supervision requirements, and defend their master’s thesis.
Graduates with a master’s degree in clinical psychology can work in mental health centers at private and public hospitals, psychiatric clinics, psychological counseling centers, rehabilitation centers, family counseling centers, educational institutions, social service agencies, and public institutions. They may also open their own private psychological counseling centers or pursue an academic career.
Klinik psikoloji yüksek lisans programında, sınav (ara sınav ve yarıyıl sonu sınavı), ödev, derslere devam, uygulama, proje, laboratuvar, seminer, sunum, makale ve tez gibi performans görevleri en çok kullanılan ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemleridir.
