F.A.Q. | Applied Trainings and Internship Coordinatorship

For compulsory internships carried out in the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters, students must complete the compulsory internship forms, as well as the Vocational Training Contract at the Workplace or the Applied Training Form required by the public hospitals where they will undertake their placement.

The compulsory internship form must be signed in the following order:

  • First, the student;
  • The Chair of the Department/Program Commission;
  • The Faculty/School Internship (Practice) Coordinator;
  • Finally, the Internship Coordination Office signs and one copy is submitted so that the Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance can be processed.

Based on the internship start date indicated on the internship forms, the insurance is reflected in the e‑Government system on the day the internship begins.

Students enrolled in health departments and programmes may apply to their department with a written petition to cancel their practical training in the following cases: horizontal transfer, deregistration, certified health problems, failure to attend the placement for family reasons, failure due to absenteeism or failure to enrol in the applied course.

Students in departments/programmes other than health fields must consult their relevant academic staff/supervisors regarding the suitability of the internship institution for their programme.

Internship logbooks are obtained from and submitted to your own department/program.

After the signature and date sections on the internship forms have been fully completed and approved, the forms must be submitted to the Internship Coordinatorship together with one photocopy of the student’s ID card.

In such a case, the student is required to inform both the Internship Coordinatorship and the internship coordinator of the relevant department/program.

Compulsory internship forms are submitted for Social Security Institution (SGK) procedures. If they are not submitted, insurance procedures cannot be carried out, and in the event of a work accident during the internship, our University cannot be held responsible.

You must not start your internship before you see your insurance declaration under the “4A Employment Entry-Exit” section on the e‑Government (e‑Devlet) system.

Apart from students in health departments/programs, students enrolled in other departments/programs may direct their questions regarding compulsory internships to the head of their department/program, to their internship coordinators and to the academic staff responsible for the internship course.
